The Intex Sand Filter And Pump

Sand filtration is by far the best and most popular method of filtration for swimming pools. This method is used on nearly all purpose built swimming pool from domestic pools to olympic sized pools.

Now Intex have introduced a sand filter and pump compatible with their pools and adaptable for other makes of pool also.

Best suited for Intex pools 16ft diameter or larger.

The pump is 0.75 Horse Power giving it the capacity to move 9,200 litres/hr and is built like a main stream pool pumps with a motor and a strainer basket.

The filter has the usual 6 settings of a sand filter – filter, recirculate, backwash, rinse, waste and closed. When the filter is dirty you just set it to “backwash” and the dirt is flushed out. No more replacing paper filters, the sand will last at least 5 years.
